She will perform works from her impressive repertoire, including new pieces from her forthcoming album ‘Chashitsu – Auditory Tea Room’ (to be released September 2023). Midori’s musical practice and her personal background resonates with and unpacks many themes at the core of the State-less 無國界 exhibition.

ヴォーン・ウィリアムズと巡るイギリス音楽紀行
今年生誕150周年を迎えるイギリスの大作曲家、レイフ・ヴォーン・ウィリアムズ（1872‐1958、以下RVW）は、２０世記前半にイギリス各地を訪れ、800曲以上のイギリス民謡を収集し、それまでに存在しなかった独自の「イギリス音楽」を確立しました。各地の人々との出会い、風景や建築を通じて、その土地に秘められた音楽を発見したRVW。本講座では、そんな彼のインスピレーションとなったゆかりの地を巡り、映像や作品抜粋の演奏を通じて、その音楽の魅力に迫ります。
さぁ、レイフおじさん（RVWの愛称：Uncle
Ralph）と共に、イギリス音楽の旅へ出かけましょう！
